RNLB Norman Harvey (D-778) was launched at around 1.55pm at the request of UK Coastguard to assist 3 people who were in the water off Seaview after their dinghy had capsized.
The upturned dinghy and crew were swiftly located in the choppy seas and having assessed that none of the crew were injured the dinghy was righted and towed to Puckpool beach where she was safely beached.
As conditions at Lane End were too rough to safely recover the Norman Harvey in the normal way, she went into Bembridge Harbour and was recovered onto her trailor using AA Coombes's slipway and was then towed back to the Inshore Boathouse by road.

RNLB Alfred Albert Williams (Tamar All-Weather Lifeboat 16-17) was launched at around 9.15am this morning at the request of UK Coastguard to assist in an on-going multi-asset search for a missing kayaker in the Swanage/Poole area.
Both Yarmouth & Swanage All-Weather Lifeboats had been out all night (supported by ILBs from Poole) and the Alfred Albert Williams was tasked to provide a relief and carry out a search to the South West of St Catherine's Point. At approximately 1.50pm the search was called off after it is understood that sadly a body had been located in the sea between St Albans Head and Portland. The Alfred Albert Williams returned to Bembridge and was recovered by 3.15pm.
