The ILB was launched to assist in the evacuation of an injured crewman off a ketch anchored in Seagrove bay.

The person had injured his fingers and was taken back to Bembridge and handed over the ambulance crew.


The ILB was launched at 12:20 to assist two persons in the water after their Laser Pico that had capsized near St Helens Fort. The two were transferred to Seaview yacht club safety boat which towed the laser back to Seaview.


The ALB launched at  01:40 to assist a 35 yacht becalmed with enginre failure 3 miles east of foreland.

Arriving on-scene a towline was rigged and the casualty towed into Bembridge Harbour and berthed.

On completion we returned to station at 03:00


We launched at the request of Solent MRCC at 01:20 to assist in the evacuation of the captain of the crude oil tanker the “Kapsali” that had suffered a suspected broken ankle.The tanker was anchored in the nab anchorage and once on-scene the captain was transferred to the lifeboat.

He was taken into Portsmouth Harbour at a reduced speed due to the thick fog in the Solent then handed over to the ambulance crew at the camber docks.

On completion we returned to station at 04:30


We launched the ILB at 19:03 to assist local coastguard units and paramedics on the transfer of a casualty suffering with a suspected broken ankle. The ILB made best speed to Priory Bay and was on scene at 19:09 . At this time the casualty was already in stretcher and was ready to be transferred. With the assistance of the local coastguards the casualty was carried into the ILB with one paramedic. We slowly made our way to Bembridge Harbour to meet awaiting Ambulance. The casualty was handed over to the ambulance at 19:45 and the ILB returned to station. 


We launched at 16:35 to assist a 9 metre german yacht that had steering failure in thick fog 5 miles SE of Dunnose point.

With the visibility to less than 30 metres in places the vessel was towed into Portsmouth Harbour at 19:58.

On returning to station we were tasked to look out for a smalll white catamaran that was reported having left Hayling Island bound for the Seaview Area sometime earlier.

Nothing was found and we returned to station at 20:45
